Generating Change: A Conversation with Women Theatremakers

13th November – 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

This roundtable discussion chaired by Dr Shonagh Hill, Queen’s University Belfast, brings together participants from her podcast, ‘Women Theatremakers in Northern Ireland’. Speakers include Carol Moore, Brenda Winter-Palmer, Seón Simpson and Katie Richardson.

The roundtable discussion will draw on their breadth of expertise as women of different generations who work in a range of roles in theatre. The event will facilitate an examination of the differences and overlaps in their experiences, as well as an opportunity to explore what needs to change and how this might be effected.

This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 7–16 November 2024. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. For further information please see beinghumanfestival.org
