Film Screening
Nobel Prize winning poet Seamus Heaney explored the themes of borders and boundaries throughout his works and encouraged cross-border collaboration and cooperation through a range of cultural initiatives. Join us for a special showing of the short BBC film, Something to Write Home About, in which Heaney explores his home ground, its boundaries and divisions, and ‘the possibility of true understanding’. This screening has been made possible with the support of BBC Northern Ireland.
Borders and Boundaries is The Linen Hall’s new project that explores the meanings and realities of borders and boundaries in Northern Ireland throughout the last century through an exhibition and a programme of events, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs Reconciliation Fund.
