David Park: In Conversation

David Park is one of Ireland’s most important writers, admired and acclaimed for his compelling storytelling and for his finely crafted prose. The author of ten novels, a novella and two collections of short stories, he has won many prizes during his career, including the Ewart-Biggs Memorial Prize for The Truth Commissioner, his novel which was also adapted for film, and the Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year 2018 for Travelling in a Strange Land.

In 2024, David Park’s literary archive became part of The Linen Hall’s collections. Hugh Odling-Smee talks to him about archive and his distinguished literary career.

A selection of items from David Park’s archive will also be on display at the event.
