Brian McGilloway
Brian McGilloway has been publishing novels since 2007. He is the author of twelve books, including the Inspector Ben Devlin novels –Borderlands, Gallows Lane, Bleed a River Deep, The Rising, The Nameless Dead, and Blood Ties – and the DS Lucy Black series, which includes the New York Times bestselling Little Girl Lost, Hurt, Preserve the Dead, and Bad Blood. His most recent novel, The Empty Room, was published in 2022 and became an instant Sunday Times bestseller while his previous standalone, The Last Crossing, won an unprecedented Highly Commended in Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year 2021. Brian also won BBC Northern Ireland’s Tony Doyle Award for his screenplay, Little Emperors.
