December Events at the Linen Hall

01 December 2012

BE VERY AFRAID….THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST STALK THE LINEN HALL LIBRARY IN DECEMBER (probably seeking out the mince pies and mulled wine!)

Topping the Linen Hall’s events calendar for December is the popular Wireless Mystery Theatre with their spine-tingling Christmas performance Ghosts of Christmas Past on 20 December. And there’s lots more sparkling entertainment planned for all of the family throughout the month.

The schedule for December is as follows:

Ulster Arts Club Annual Show

Continues until 31 December / Free Exhibition
The Ulster Arts Club, begun in 1902, was set up as a centre point for Ulster artists of all descriptions to meet, exhibit and exchange ideas. The annual show brings a variety of styles and disciplines together.

Ulster Will Fight!

Continues until 31 December / Free Exhibition
On 28 September 1912, over 500,000 Ulstermen and women signed the Ulster Covenant, voicing their refusal to accept Home Rule for Ireland. Ulster Will Fight is a free exhibition that examines this defining moment in Ireland’s turbulent history.

Mr Hullabaloo’s Interactive Children’s Theatre Winter Wonderland Show

Wednesday 19 December at 3.30pm / £5 pp
Full of festive cheer and sure to warm the heart, children (and adults) will be treated to some magical wintertime stories including Hansel and Gretel and The Elves and the Shoemaker.

Wireless Mystery Theatre Presents Ghosts of Christmas Past: An Evening of Festival Ghost Stories

Thursday 20 December at 6.30pm/ £15 (£12 members)
Back by popular demand, the Wireless Mystery Theatre transports audiences back to the golden age of radio with all of the attendant sounds. This Christmas special resurrects the great holiday ghost story tradition with lots of new bumps in the night. Mince pies and mulled wine make it an evening for the whole family after a hard day’s shopping!

The Linen Hall Library will be closed for the holidays from 4.00pm on Saturday 22 December until 9.30am Wednesday 2 January 2013.
