Connecting Civil Rights: Then and Now

It’s been 50 years since the civil rights movement of the late 1960s in Northern Ireland. Using archival materials and interviews, this exhibition asks what kind of environment shaped this, and other, related political movements during the period. Part of the Connecting Civil Rights project at Queen’s University, Belfast.

Letters of Distinction: Somerville and Ross

Somerville and Ross were Irish cousins and writers who collaborated on a series of novels and short stories that portrayed Irish society in the late 19th century. Novelist and journalist Martina Devlin discusses the fascinating letters from the authors of The Irish RM series of books.
