The Linen Hall Library is delighted to announce that the BBC Radio 4 nation-wide programme Bookclub will record from the Linen Hall on Thursday 22 June.

Bookclub is hosted by James Naughtie, and the book selected to be discussed on 22 June is The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe.

This marks the first-ever visit of Bookclub to the Library, and the first time a nation-wide BBC radio programme has recorded a full show in the Linen Hall.

Director Julie Andrews said: "We approached Bookclub over a year ago and have been in constant communication to promote the Library's provenance and facilities as a perfect setting for the radio show. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain nation-wide exposure for the Library to one of our priority target markets."

We will announce the broadcast date of the programme when it is confirmed.
