March Is Women’s History Month at the Linen Hall

The Linen Hall boasts a fabulous female line up in March featuring artists Leontia Haldenby and Kim Montgomery with their exhibition We Were On Our Way To Something launching 1 March. We also welcome three new books by Northern Irish female writers including the deeply moving Her Other Language: Northern Irish Women Writers Address Domestic Violence and Abuse.

A dual autobiographical visual journey which was begun in 2004 by artists Leontia Haldenby and Kim Montgomery, both graduates from Belfast School of Art. In this exhibition they address themes including collective and shared memory, imagination and identity as emerging artists and mothers.

Marching Season: Rosemary Jenkinson in conversation with Susan McKay

Lorna Shaughnessy: Lark Water

This pioneering anthology goes beyond awareness-building to engage with the societal prevalence of sexist abuse and domestic violence, and the legacies of that abuse in the lives of survivors. Join editors Ruth Carr and Natasha Cuddington for a discussion on matters arising from this deeply moving book.
