Linen Hall Announces New Cafe

The Linen Hall is excited to announce a collaboration with The Writers Cafe Group to launch a new café in the library. The Linen Hall Cafe opens on Monday 24 May and will serve up fantastic local fare. Opening hours will be Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5.00 pm.

Major refurbishment has taken place on the Library’s second floor to ensure that customers will have an eating experience to remember! With décor inspired by Irish mythology and folklore, visitors will also enjoy panoramic views over Donegall Square.

The menu of snacks and light meals served to the table includes favourites such as stew and homemade scones, but alongside are some lip-smacking luxuries such as Champagne Granola and Caviar Breakfast. A full range of coffees from local roaster Root & Branch and drinks including alcoholic beverages will be offered. The menu includes gluten-free and plant-based alternatives. It really will be THE place to stop for a bite in the city centre.

Linen Hall Director Julie Andrews said: “Teaming up with The Writers Cafe Group has given the Linen Hall Library an attractive new dimension. The folkloric theme of the new café will beautifully complement the Library’s position as one of Northern Ireland’s cultural treasures. Thousands of visitors, tourists, and members pass through our doors every month, The Linen Hall Cafe will definitely enhance and enrich the overall visitor experience.”

The Writers Cafe Group Director Victoria Armstrong said: “We are privileged to be partnering with the Linen Hall Library and excited to be the new operators of the Linen Hall Cafe. We are looking forward to working with such a historic venue, and we will strive to deliver the excellence of Irish hospitality for tourists and locals alike.”

The Linen Hall Cafe is open to everyone. Linen Hall Library members will enjoy a 10% discount.
