Library
Monday to Friday: 9.30am – 5.30pm – open free to all.

(The Library is open for members only on the first Saturday of each month from 9.30am – 4.00pm. Access on this day is through the Fountain Street entrance. The cafe is not open on Saturday.)

The Library is normally closed on all public holidays.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Standard Membership

Standard membership is our most popular category and applies to adults (over 18) who are in employment. You will receive a membership card which entitles borrowing of up to 8 books at a time for up to four weeks, and mailings including email updates, Library Newsletter, Events Guide and Annual Reports.

Cost of Standard Membership:

  • £80 a year
  • £75 a year or £6.25 per month by Direct Debit (only available when purchased in person)

Family Membership

This is open to immediate family members resident at the same address. It covers parents/partners and their children aged under 18. Other relatives and over 18s cannot be included. Each family member will receive a membership card and will be entitled to the same rights as individual members. Mailings will be sent to the lead family member

Cost of Family Membership:

  • £160 a year
  • £155 a year or £13.00 per month by Direct Debit (only available when purchased in person)

Reduced Rates

Concessionary

Those who are retired and people not working.
Concession members are entitled to all the privileges of Standard membership. 

  • £65 a Year
  • £60 a year or £5 per month by Direct Debit (only available when purchased in person).

Under 18

Under 18s are entitled to all the privileges of Standard membership.
Under 18s must supply date of birth and complete a Referee Form. 

£15 a year 

Student

Students are entitled to all the privileges of Standard membership if enrolled as a full-time student.
Students must complete a Referee Form. 

£40 a year 

Associate

Visitors with no permanent address in Northern Ireland, and not resident for more than 3 months per year.
Associate members are entitled to all the privileges of Standard membership (temporary and permanent addresses must be supplied).
