Rabbie Reimagined: Gibson, Burns, and Belfast

Online (Zoom) • Friday 10th December 2021, 7.00pm (UK Time)

On 10th December 2021, the Linen Hall Library will mark 120 years since the acquisition of the Gibson Collection. With poetry readings and music, we will put a 21st-century spin on the work of Robert Burns.

Author Angela Graham, actor and director Dan Gordon, and poet Stuart Paterson will lend their voices to virtual readings of Rabbie’s work, and local musicians will perform Burns-inspired pieces. The highlight of the evening will be Dr. Carol Baraniuk (University of Glasgow) in conversation with the presenter of BBC’s hit show ‘Hame’, Mark Thompson.

Change of Venue: Please note that due to recent developments, we will be moving this event online to ensure the health and safety of all our performers, speakers, and guests.
