‘Moving About the Place:
Short Stories’ by Evelyn Conlon

Live Online Event (Zoom) • Wednesday 16th June, 7.00pm (UK Time)

*please note that you will receive a Zoom link via email on the day of the event.

To celebrate the publication of her stunning new collection of short stories, join author Evelyn Conlon talking to Linen Hall Library President Dr Eamonn Hughes, Blackstaff Press Managing Editor Patsy Horton and author/academic Dr Rebecca Pelan.

This collection of eleven stories by one of Ireland’s best writers is a compelling exploration of what comes from moving about the place. Brilliantly written, witty, and full of the sharp observation for which Conlon is well known, Moving About the Place brings together some of the best of her recent work, along with brand-new stories, including a novella, to show how borders, movement and history change and transform people’s lives.

In honour of Bloomsday, Evelyn will read from ‘Two Gallants Getting Caught’, a story inspired by Joyce’s ‘Two Gallants’ from Dubliners.

This will be a live event with an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
