Irishness in Boston and Belfast, with Martin Nangle
Wednesday 16 February, 1.00pm • Linen Hall Performance Area • Free
Photojournalist Martin Nangle will give a talk about how his views of Belfast and Boston’s Irishness 1973-1989 were translated into his imagery. These curated images are presented in two beautifully bound books. Together they represent his first volume of collected stories about what it was to work in the short era of professional photojournalism, an era that ended with the arrival of social media and citizens’ journalism. From a limited number of 240, fifty embossed and signed copies of this two-book edition are allocated for the city of Belfast and will be available for purchase on the day of the event.
