EXHIBITION: Ireland Divided A Linen Hall Perspective
4 October – 29 October • Vertical Gallery • Free entry
The Linen Hall Library has revisited and reinterpreted its collections from the 1920-1922 period and this exhibition is the product of that work. There is no singular or agreed narrative of the events that led to the partition of Ireland and the birth of the Northern Ireland state; it is a contested history of many perspectives. This is the Linen Hall’s perspective.
The Ireland Divided project has been funded through the Shared History Fund, which The National Lottery Heritage Fund is distributing on behalf of the Northern Ireland Office to help groups mark the Centenary of Northern Ireland.
