A History of the Féile an Phobail with Danny Morrison

Wednesday 14 September, 1.00pm • Performance Area • FREE

Féile an Phobail was established in 1988 as a direct response to the ongoing conflict on our streets. Its purpose was to celebrate the positive side of the community, its creativity, its energy, its passion for the arts, and for sport. Féile is now considered to be Ireland’s biggest community arts festival.  In this talk, former Féile chairperson Danny Morrison will provide a fascinating insight into the origins of the festival in 1988 and its evolution into what it has become today.
