Presentation of the Michael McLaverty Short Story Award

The Michael McLaverty Short Story Award is named after one of Ireland’s foremost exponents of this challenging literary medium. The Linen Hall is privileged to hold the Michael McLaverty literary archive, and his work has been enjoyed by, and been an inspiration to, generations of writers and readers.

Join us for a special celebration of Michael McLaverty’s writing legacy to celebrate the tenth competition and for the presentation of the winning stories of this year’s award. Judges Neil Hegarty and Emma Warnock will come together with former judges and prize-winners to reflect on a landmark moment for the competition.
