Join folklore expert Róise Ní Bhaoill as she discusses the fourth and final festival of the Celtic Year. Lughnasa is one of the most joyful of Celtic Festivals, marking the end of ‘Hungry July’ and welcoming the promise of the harvest to come. Róise will explore the festival’s associations with the Celtic God Lugh and his mother Tailtiu, with the pagan Crom Dubh, with fairs, faction fights, harvest knots and the Cailleach or the Hag.
