Holiday Italian: Take It to the Next Level

By popular demand, Dr Federica Ferrieri is back at The Linen Hall with a brand-new short course!

This student-centred, conversation-based course offers all the fun and practical appeal of a Holiday Italian class, but it’s designed specifically for learners who already have a solid foundation in the language.

While most holiday courses cater for beginners, this one goes further. Through interactive games, quizzes, and roleplays, you’ll expand your vocabulary, sharpen your grammar, and build confidence in familiar real-life scenarios (like ordering at a restaurant, checking into a hotel, or asking for directions) but at a much deeper level to boost your fluency and get you ready for your next trip to Italy!

 Please note: This class is not suitable for absolute or false beginners.

About Dr Federica Ferrieri

Dr Federica Ferrieri has lived in Northern Ireland since 2010, after spending time in the Netherlands and Greece. She holds a PhD in Modern Greek Language and Literature, and her expertise lies in both the theory and practice of language teaching.

By day, she works as a Civic Engagement Officer at Queen’s University Belfast; by night, she continues to pursue her passion for teaching foreign languages – mainly Italian. She has also served as the Italian Honorary Consul in Northern Ireland since 2016.

Federica is particularly interested in projects that connect language learning with arts-based approaches, restorative justice, diversity and representation.
