Holiday Italian

Dreaming of your next Italian getaway? Holiday Italian is a fun and interactive course designed for Absolute Beginners, False Beginners, and anyone who feels a bit rusty and would like to refresh the basics.

This grammar-free class will get you speaking from day one through pair and group work, games, role plays, and a variety of immersive activities. You’ll learn how to handle the most common holiday situations – from ordering food and drinks, buying train tickets, and checking in at a hotel, to visiting the chemist’s or shopping for clothes and accessories.

Along the way, you’ll also improve your pronunciation and discover fascinating insights into Italian culture – all in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. 

Please note that this is a smaller class to allow for more focus on conversation.

From Thursday 15 January to Thursday 19 March 2026 (dates below). No class on 12 February

About Dr Federica Ferrieri

Dr Federica Ferrieri has lived in Northern Ireland since 2010, after spending time in the Netherlands and Greece. She holds a PhD in Modern Greek Language and Literature, and her expertise lies in both the theory and practice of language teaching.

She works as a Civic Engagement Officer at Queen’s University Belfast as well as pursuing her passion for teaching foreign languages – mainly Italian. She has also served as the Italian Honorary Consul in Northern Ireland since 2016.

Federica is particularly interested in projects that connect language learning with arts-based approaches, restorative justice, diversity and representation.
