Coucou French Conversation

This course of 9 classes will focus on oral skills and help students develop their vocabulary and their confidence when speaking French. Each session will focus on a theme chosen by the students and will consist of activities tailored to improve communication in a relaxed atmosphere. Suitable for those with an intermediate level of French.

Dates: Thursday 15 January to Thursday 19 March 2026 (dates below). No class on 12 February.

About the tutor

Hélène was planning to be an English teacher in France until she left her native Paris in 2003 to come to Ulster University, Coleraine, to teach her mother tongue. She has been teaching French ever since, obtaining an MA in teaching French as a Foreign Language from Grenoble University, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice from Ulster University.

Since then, she has taught French in schools in London; Alliance Française, Paris; Queen’s University, Belfast; Michelin PLC, Ballymena; the Grand Opera House here in Belfast and on a private basis.

Hélène is passionate about teaching.
