Beginner’s French

There will be no class on Tuesday 27th October.

Whether you are a complete beginner, or maybe you haven’t done French since school, this 10-week course will get you (re)introduced to everything you need to know to start communicating with ease in the language. The focus will be on the spoken language.

Hélène left her native Paris in 2003 to fulfill an ambition to teach her mother tongue abroad, taking up a role in Ulster University, Coleraine. She obtained an MA from Grenoble University in teaching French as a Foreign Language, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice from Ulster University. She has been teaching French ever since.

Hélène has spent several years teaching in schools in London, Alliance Française, Paris, in Queen’s University, Belfast, in Michelin PLC, Ballymena and in the Grand Opera House here in Belfast. She also enjoys teaching to a broad array of private students.

Hélène brought her passion for teaching to the Linen Hall in 2025 and looks forward with enthusiasm to welcoming new and returning students!
