Beginners Continuation Italian 2: Exploring the Past and Everyday Life

This course follows on from Beginners Continuation Italian 1 that ran from September to December 2025.

In this second stage, we’ll continue with the passato prossimo (present perfect). We’ll practice how to speak about past experiences, and navigate more complex social situations like shopping. With practical group exercises, role plays, and engaging multimedia, you’ll take your first steps into more fluid conversation and storytelling.

From Monday 19 January to Monday 23 March  2026 (dates below). There will be no class on Monday 9 February.

Time: 12.15 pm – 1.45 pm

You’ll have the option to sign up for Beginners Continuation Italian 3: Bridging to Intermediate, which will run after Easter, from April-June 2026.

About Giada Mangiardi

Hailing from the beautiful city of Turin, Giada Mangiardi is a language teacher who has a passion for languages in both the spoken form and the science behind them. After completing her MA degree in Linguistics in 2007 she moved to Co. Limerick and taught Italian in a school. After a year she moved to Belfast where she has been working as a language tutor to all ages in QUB, Belfast Metropolitan College and the Crescent Arts Centre. She has also worked as Language Coach at the Grand Opera House.

Giada has collaborated in the editing of Italian language course books as well as works dealing with minority languages. She looks forward to sharing with you her knowledge and love for Italian in all its aspects, from grammar to food, from music to regional traditions.
