All Children Together and the Story of Integrated Education in Northern Ireland: Free Exhibition

27th May - 9th July

This new, specially-curated exhibition will explore the development and growth of integrated education in Northern Ireland, drawing on the library’s unique archives and newly recorded oral history testimonies.

Join us to discover more about the story of All Children Together, the parent-led campaign group formed in the early 1970s that in 1981 opened Lagan College, Northern Ireland’s first integrated school. The exhibition will also highlight the work of other organisations and individuals who helped to shape the sector by opening or transforming schools throughout the 1980s and 1990s. By then tracing this story up to the present day, the exhibition will reflect on the sector’s legacy, impact and place within Northern Ireland’s education system.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events, including expert talks and panel discussions. Full programme details will be announced in May.
